Seawolves Sounders U23

North Sound Edges Past Sounders U-23 – Jacobson scores only goal as SeaWolves take victory.

The North Sound SeaWolves FC earned their first win at home against the Sounders FC U23 on Thursday night as they earned a 1-0 victory through a goal by Brady Jacobson before more than 600 fans at Edmonds Woodway Stadium. The defeat put a dent in the Sounders U-23s playoff hopes, keeping them three points behind the Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 with three games remaining.

The Sounders had the better chances as they outshot the SeaWolves 15-10, but North Sound goalkeeper Dylan Farber kept the game scoreless with 10 saves. Jacobson gave his side the lead in the 60th minute off a cross from Brady Ballew, and the SeaWolves were able to hold on to take victory.

“We had a game plan and the players executed,” SeaWolves coach Alex Silva said. “I was very pleased with the performance of the team and we sure deserved at the end.”

The SeaWolves next visit the Kitsap Pumas on Sunday night, before they host the Washington Crossfire on Friday, July 12 in their penultimate game of the season.

It was a big day for the SeaWolves in Edmonds. They were part of the local Fourth of July parade before taking the pitch against the Sounders.

“Being part of the parade it was such a good idea, it brought us close to the community,” Silva said. “There are a lot of people getting to know about the club and it was special for the players for our players to be part of such good event. Thank you all the supporters.”

  • I was covering lake stevens and Wesco from 2006 - 2012, then moved out of state until 2021. i remember you guys back then but you've gotten so much better. the production, the quick replays and the on air talent is as good as there is. better than national cable outlets (ie Graham Kapowsin vs that Georgia team). i enjoyed the play by play but even more so the color commentary from your GP guy. He's good. I'm a broadcast journalism major i know all these moving parts aren't easy. I will def do all i can to let my readers know when u guys are doing LS games in the future. • You guys did MLT game a couple weeks ago at Archbishop Murphy and you do a great job. Simon Dubiel
  • Gentlemen, I was introduced to STSPN this morning watching your broadcast of the Vashon v Liberty boys Division II lacrosse championship game. Absolutely great coverage. Announcers were well-informed and offered valuable insights throughout. I doubt I will hear better watching the NCAA Championship game today. The camera work was smooth, the video was free of any technological glitches and you even offered replays. Wow! Every community should be so fortunate to have a resource that produces such quality broadcasts. Kevin Vashon Island
  • I want to thank @SnohomishSports for their outstanding coverage of high school athletics. They do it for all the right reasons. Nate
  • I cant tell you how happy I am for your streaming coverage. I live 900 miles away. Now I can watch lots of the games and I got to see my grandsons first HS dunk. Also the quality of the broadcast is excellent. I amazed at your production. D. P Korab, Hurricane, UT

  • South Kitsap has a lot of talent and some good size, it will present a challenge for us on the boards.

  • We are doing pretty well but without a summer season its hard to get everything in place early.

  • Getting your first league win is always big! All of our games in league have been tight, but we haven't finished. We have leads in most of them for most of the game. Tonight, I was proud of the kids because they put four quarters together and they finished the game.
